Our Studio

1. Where are you based?

  • Our address is 1 Lewis Grove, Lewisham, SE13 6BG. We are a 5 minute walk from Lewisham station, and we are located above Lewis Grove Pharmacy.

2. How do I enter the studio?

  • We do not want people waiting in the cold for the previous class to finish before a teacher lets you in! (Especially with UK weather…) So we have made things easy for you.

  • You’ll be able to enter the space via contactless technology - which means you will have an Innerform card in your phone’s wallet (i.e., Apple Wallet or Samsung Wallet) and you can tap that onto the reader in front of the door to let yourself in. It will all be explained on our social media channels and via emails, so keep an eye out!

3. Is your studio open all day?

  • The studio will be closed between classes.

  • We ask that clients are respectful of our teachers and leave the studio within a reasonable timeframe following their class.

4. Do you have lockers, changing facilities, and showers?

  • Yes! Both Male and Female changing rooms have lockers, showers, and toilets.

5. Will you provide towels?

  • No. We will not be providing towels initially, although it’s something we would consider in the future if it’s needed!

  • If you plan to shower, we suggest bringing a quick-dry travel towel as it’s compact and can be carried around easily.

6. Do you sell any food or drinks?

  • Initially there are no plans to sell any food or drinks - but if we get feedback that anything in particular is needed we’ll take this on board and tailor our offering accordingly.

7. What do I need to bring to classes?

  • Your wonderful self.

  • For Reformer classes: Please bring grip socks! These are a must for the classes. If you forget, we have grippy socks available to buy at the studio.

  • For Grounded classes: Bring trainers for the Strength classes! Nothing else is required for the other Grounded classes. If you prefer to use your own mat, feel free to bring it!

8. Can I park my bike nearby?

  • Yes! There are bike racks just outside the studio.

9. Can I park my car nearby?

  • There are Pay & Display car parks nearby, including: Clarendon Rise Car Park (1-2min walk) and Lewisham Shopping centre car park (2-3min walk).

  • There is also 2hours of parking at Lewisham Tesco Superstore, which is a c.7-10min walk from the studio.

10. How can I apply for a job with you?

  • We’re always on the lookout for exceptional teachers.

  • Quality teaching is important to us: cueing clearly, flowing smoothly, making corrections, being able to read and respond to the room. We want to empower/educate people in our classes so they can take the knowledge and apply it to their everyday lives.

  • What’s equally as important is that you understand our ethos - we want to make sure that EVERY BODY who walks through our doors, regardless of their background or experience with Pilates and exercise, feels seen, supported, and uplifted. No pretentious vibes around here. Just good energy and authentic connections.

  • If Innerform sounds like a bit of you, drop us an email with your CV and a bit of background!

11.Can I bring someone else to the studio?

  • Only the person who has the credits and is booked onto the class can come into the studio.

  • We do not allow kids in the studio, unless it’s a post-natal class where we have specified that babies are welcome!

  • We also do not allow any furry friends in the studio (as much as we love animals!!)

12. Can I join classes if I’m pregnant?

  • If you’re pregnant and already have some Reformer Pilates experience, you’re welcome to join us once you’ve had the go-ahead from your doctor or midwife. We recommend sticking to Foundation classes, letting your instructor know before class so they can suggest safe modifications, and always listening to your body.

  • If you’re brand new to Reformer, we recommend waiting until after pregnancy to start.

  • We don’t currently run dedicated pre-natal classes, but may add them if there’s demand. We’ll also be introducing a post-natal course soon to support you after birth.

  • Please note: participation is at your own risk, and we ask all clients to seek medical clearance before attending classes during pregnancy.

Schedule

1. What class times will you offer?

  • Note, the initial schedule we launch with on 20th October is not the finished product! We will ramp up the schedule and offer many more class times as our community grows and as you guys give us feedback on what slots you want!

  • The initial schedule offers Reformer Pilates and Grounded classes in the mornings, lunchtime, evenings, and weekends! We’ve built this out based on client feedback and polls.

Class Types, Bookings, and Private / Group Events

1. What classes do you offer?

  • We’re starting with a simple line-up so you can jump straight in with confidence. As our community grows, we’ll expand the timetable and add new class types based on your feedback.

  • Reformer:

    • Foundation Reformer (50 mins): Perfect for those new to the Reformer. Movements are broken down clearly, focusing on core strength, posture, mobility and control. If you’re brand new to Reformer Pilates, you’ll need to complete at least 3 Foundation classes before moving on to Intermediate. Don’t worry — we still offer layers if you’re ready to push yourself a little further!

    • Intermediate Reformer (50 mins): For those who feel comfortable on the Reformer and want to take things further. Expect more challenging moves, extra layers, and increased complexity compared to Foundation.

    • Stretch & Mobility Reformer (coming shortly): A slower-paced class focused on flexibility, mobility, and release. This will be added once we find the right teacher.

  • 💡 If you’re brand new to Pilates and feel nervous about starting, Foundation Reformer is designed for you. We may also introduce dedicated beginner workshops in future if there’s demand.

  • Grounded:

    • Mat Pilates (50 mins, all levels): A dynamic Mat Pilates class that may include props like balls and resistance bands, alongside flowing movements. Great for building core strength, improving flexibility and co-ordination, and offering variety.

    • Barre (50 mins, all levels): Expect a fun, upbeat full-body workout focusing on strength, posture, and tone - using a barre and small equipment.

    • Strength (50 mins, all levels): A functional full-body workout using dumbbells (and sometimes resistance bands/bodyweight). Designed to build strength while keeping the flow and precision you’d expect from Pilates.

2. How does strength training complement Pilates?

  • Strength training is one of the best complements to Pilates. Lifting weights helps improve bone density and muscle mass, whilst Pilates builds core strength, posture, control, and mobility. Together, they create a well-rounded approach to movement.

3. What’s the point of Pilates?

  • Pilates strengthens your core, improves posture, increases mobility and flexibility, boosts balance and co-ordination, and helps reduce everyday aches and pains. It supports you in sport, at the gym, and in daily life.

  • It’s one of the most effective ways to future-proof your body and support whatever else you love to do.

4. Who is Pilates made for?

  • Pilates is made for anyone who wants to move well and feel strong. It supports mobility, posture, and core strength — whether you’re new to exercise, managing an injury, sitting at a desk all day, or training for sport.

  • It really is for every body.

5. Why are you only offering 2 Yoga classes a week?

  • Yoga was not part of our original offering, but we were put in touch with a fantastic local teacher (500 E-RYT) and we’ve decided to add two classes a week to the schedule, to see if there’s demand.

  • If you guys really enjoy it and want more yoga, we’ll look to expand our timetable and add more of these classes too!

6. How can I book onto classes?

  • You can download our mobile app called ‘Innerform Studio’.

  • You can also book via our website, or via MindBody.

7. Do you offer private group session?

  • Yes! And thank you for thinking of us. We’d love to host your group whether it’s a corporate event, a hen do before the shenanigans start, birthdays etc - just drop us a message at contact@innerformpilates.co.uk and we’ll help organise!

All Things Class Packs, Memberships, and Intro Offer

1. What’s the difference between a class pack and a membership?

  • A class pack is pay-as-you go and it gives you a specific number of credits to be used within a specific timeframe. I.e., the ‘4 Reformer Flexi Class Pack (2 months to use)’ gives you access to 4 classes, and these need to be used within 2 months from the day you purchase the class pack.

  • A membership is a monthly payment and gives you a set number of monthly sessions on repeat. There is a 3 month minimum term, and after that it’s only 1 month’s notice to cancel. A recurring payment is taken each month starting from the date you purchased the membership. I.e., if you purchase the ‘Reformer Flexi Membership - 4 classes per month’ on 20th October, you will have access to 4 classes in the month, and your next payment is taken on 20th November.

2. Can I roll credits into the next month?

  • For memberships, credits do not ‘roll over’ per se, but we know that sometimes life can get in the way - and so we give you 38 days to use your credits. Your contract renews every 30 days, but you have an extra 8 days each month to use the previous month’s credits to give you a bit of breathing room!

  • Note, this does not apply to class packs and the intro offer. They must be used within the allotted timeframe.

3. What should I know about the intro offer?

  • Our 3 classes for £33 intro offer is only for first-timers to Innerform! Please do not try to purchase it multiple times via different email accounts because we will notice.

  • The credits must be used within the 14 day window and cannot be rolled over.

  • It’s a great way to swing by Innerform and see if you enjoy what we have to offer!

4. Can I share my credits with someone else?

  • Your credits are for solo use only. If someone you know wants in on the action - they’ll need to set up their own account either through the Innerform Studio app or through MindBody, and purchase credits.

  • Our tech which you’ll use to check in to Innerform and to open the studio doors is individual to each account and sits within your apple wallet, so credits cannot be transferred to other people. Our teachers also take a register.

5. Can I freeze my membership?

  • As per the terms and conditions, you can hit pause for up to 2 weeks, twice a year. This cannot be split into multiple smaller pauses.

6. How can I cancel my membership?

  • Memberships have a 3 month minimum term.

  • A minimum of 4 weeks notice is required to cancel your membership. You’ll still have access to your credits within that 4 week period. Please email contact@innerformpilates.co.uk.

  • Also, please do feel free to give us your honest feedback about why you’re cancelling! Your feedback means the world to us and is the heart of what we do, so we can keep learning and growing to deliver the best service for you.

7. Can I get a founder membership?

  • Our founder memberships closed on 31st August 2025!

Lateness and Cancellation

1. What if I’m late to a class?

  • We’ve got a fantastic waiting area, so there’s no need to time your arrival to the second. Please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes before the class start time to ensure you are set up and settled in. You can also use this time to ask the teachers any questions and inform them of any injuries!

  • We have a strict lateness policy - so please respect our teachers and other members. The door closes when the class starts. If you’re late, unfortunately we won’t be able to let you in.

  • If you had an issue getting to class, drop us an email - we’ll always try to be understanding.

2. What’s your cancellation and no-show policy for classes?

  • If you cancel more than 12 hours before the class starts - you’ll receive the credit back in your account.

  • If you cancel within the 12 hour window, you’ll keep the credit and a £10 fee will be added to your account.

  • If you do not show up to the class and do not cancel beforehand, you will lose the credit and incur a £20 fee.

  • We want people to be accountable and turn up to classes they book. Not only so that they can stick to the goals and commitments they make to themselves, but also because we don’t want spaces to go to waste. Cancelling outside 12 hours means we can offer your spot to someone else.

  • Note, we do not charge the no-show fees for single credits or the intro offer.

3. What’s the refund policy?

  • We do not offer refunds for classes attended, but please do let us know if something has happened. We really value your feedback and we are here to help, so please reach out to us.
